About Central Ridge
Elementary
We are located in Citrus Springs, Florida, which can be
found in the north eastern part of rural Citrus County. We sit upon the
Brooksville Ridge, an area of elevated land (29m above sea level) that
runs from north to south through Citrus and Hernando
Counties. Click here for a map of Central Ridge.
Citrus County is located on the western coast of Florida, just south of the "Big Bend" area. Also known as the nature coast Citrus County boasts a number of natural attractions that bring visitors from across the globe. The population of Citrus County was 140,000 in 2007.
Our school was constructed in 2007-2008 and we opened our doors to students in August of 2008.
Our school colors are Dark Blue, Silver, Black, and White. And our mascot, chosen by our students, is the Rhodesian Ridgeback. They are intelligent, brave and loyal; just like OUR Ridgebacks!
Our Ridgeback Pledge is:
- Be Responsible
- Be Respectful
- Be Kind
- Be Safe
- Be Peaceful
- BE A RIDGEBACK
