Welcome to Central Ridge
Elementary School, Citrus County's Newest School! We opened our
doors to students for the first time on August 18th, 2008. We are
excited for the opportunity to work with our parents and the community
to provide the education every child deserves. The teachers
and staff at Central Ridge strive to maintain the educational
excellence that parents have come to expect of the Citrus County School
District. The State of Florida has rated Citrus County School District
as a top rated district in the state. We are committed at Central Ridge to provide all of our students with the academic and social skills to promote a healthy, and successful educational career both after elementary school and beyond. Together, we CAN make a difference!

School is out on June 5th. We would like to wish all of our students and parents a safe and restful summer. You truly deserve it. With your help, Central Ridge has had an amazing and successful first year. It doesnt even seem like we had opened a new school, but with our amazing ridgebacks and parents it felt like we have been in operation for years. Thank You again for an amazing year.Media Center Open During the Summer
The Central Ridge Media Center will be open during the summer months on Tuesdays form 9am to 12pm. This time will provide students and their parents the opportunity to check out books, participate in optional reading activities, use Study Island, and take AR tests. This program is free for our students and their parents. We do ask that parents remain with their child while they are at the media center, as it is important for children to experience the joy of learning with their parents.Come and join Mrs. Morrow for some reading fun this summer!

Study Island
Central
Ridge Elementary has purchased a subscription to Study Island.
Study Island is an online
skill building program that is correlated to the Sunshine State
Standards. All students in K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
4th, and 5th grade are enrolled in this excellent program. Your child
will be receiving their login information from their teacher.
Will be available to students throughout the summer. Your child recieved a letter with their username and password. If they did not bring home this letter, or or you would like more information about this title, please email Mr. Raynor at raynore@citrus.k12.fl.us
