Welcome
Welcome to Central Ridge
Elementary School, Citrus County's Newest School! We opened our
doors to students for the first time on August 18th, 2008. We are
excited for the opportunity to work with our parents and the community
to provide the education every child deserves. The teachers
and staff at Central Ridge strive to maintain the educational
excellence that parents have come to expect of the Citrus County School
District. The State of Florida has rated Citrus County School District
as a top rated district in the state. We are committed at Central Ridge to provide all of our students with the academic and social skills to promote a healthy, and successful educational career both after elementary school and beyond. Together, we CAN make a difference!
Central Ridge is an A School
In Central Ridge's inaugural year we have achieved A+ status by the Florida Department of Education. Central Ridge was only 1 of 47 new schools in the state that earned this recognition. We are amazingly proud of our teachers and staff, but mostly we are proud of our students. The criteria for achieving an A by the state of Florida is based heavily on student FCAT results as well as other factors such as discipline figures and student demographics. If you would like to read more about the State of Florida school grading system, please visit the Florida Department of Education's School Accountability website.Important Upcoming Dates
